Welcome to South County
South County is what happens as the lines between rural and suburban blur. It is a mix of farms and new subdivisions in the southwestern-most part of Hillsborough County.
It is home to Ruskin, FL, and other farming towns that are well-known for tomato crops, but less known for the thousands of migrant workers who need to hear the gospel.
It is also home to Apollo Beach and Sun City Center, where the retirement-aged populations are significant.
South County’s population is significant in general as you consider the more than 140,000 people alone in Gibsonton, Riverview, Ruskin, Apollo Beach and Sun City Center (a 55+ community).
The planter for South County would want to develop a strategy to share the gospel with retirees, with rural folks, and with the professionals and young families moving into the area.
South County has a context for just about every planter. So if you feel you might be a good fit for this area, we want to encourage you to come and do a tour with us!
