New Tampa | Wesley Chapel
This is how Tampa does suburban sprawl. Moving north along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard from Fletcher Avenue all the way up into Pasco County, New Tampa and Wesley Chapel are among the fastest-growing housing markets in the state, if not the country.
It’s acres and acres of planned urban developments, complete with shopping, schools and, of course, a golf course. From the south moving north you’ve got Tampa Palms, Hunter’s Green, West Meadows, Cross Creek, Heritage Isles, Cory Lake Isles, Seven Oaks and more. Miles and miles of housing with mostly professional families who need Christ.
Here is the challenge: as homes are built and families move north, the church has to be able to go with them, bringing with it a living, breathing gospel witness.
Our church-to-resident ratios in these neighborhoods likely rival ratios in the Northeast. And what’s more, many of these professionals have relocated from the Northeast, bringing with them a worldview that is too often based on religion and works.
Will you come to this area and bring with you the gospel?
